You love cars. You can recognize a Porsche 911 by its sound. The smell of race gas and burnt rubber wakes you up better than coffee. You know more about your dream car than you know about your best friend. You’ve spent more money on cars than you’ve spent on your house. Your idea of Sunday Funday is skinning your knuckles while wrenching on your project car.
Do you remember the first time you saw a legendary car in the flesh?
Where you were? What kind of car it was? How old you were? Maybe you saw a Ferrari Testarossa in a parking lot and begged your mom to ask the owner to let you sit in it. Maybe you were lucky enough to see a Lamborghini Countach driving down the street and it stopped you in your tracks while you stared.
When I was 11, I got to ride in a Lamborghini Countach. I was terrified. The aggression, the noise, the smell, the vibration...it was just too much. Years later, I realized that exact moment was the beginning of my car obsession. That moment, the essence of the Countach seeped through my skin, leached its way into my soul, became part of who I was.
It took me a few hours to recover from the shock and process my experience. And from that day on, I’ve been hopelessly obsessed with cars I can’t afford. After I calmed down, I begged my dad for a permanent reminder of that experience — a Lamborghini Countach poster. Two days later I had one hanging over my bed. I stared at it every day, remembering the creases and ducts of the car, the smell, the sound.
Over the years, I accumulated several more posters of cars on my walls:

...until I couldn’t tell the original color of my wallpaper. But at some point, probably half way through college, I realized my car posters weren’t so appropriate anymore. If someone came over, I didn’t want them asking if my 12 year old cousin decorated my room. I had grown up.
But as I’ve grown older, my perspective has changed. I’m a car fanatic but I want to feel good about putting images of cars on my wall — images of legendary cars worthy of my grown up, living room wall.
Legendary Car Canvases was created to bring you the images by the world's best photographers of legendary cars — images at an approachable price that you’ll be proud to hang on your wall. Cheaper and more robust than framed prints, all images are printed on the highest quality handmade canvases using eco-friendly, latex-free inks.
